Thule Hullavator Pro TH898 - What Are The 35mm and 37mm Bolts For?
Question:
Hi, I was putting my Hullavator Pro together yesterday. I ended up with 4 bolts left over 4 * 37mm. I had 4*37mm and 4*35mm, yet only needed the 35mm as per the instructions. What are the 37mm for? I am mounting it on Wingbar 127 Evo Crossbars. Thanks Paul

Hello Paul thanks for your question. When installing the Thule Hullavator Pro # TH898 it is completely normal to have 4 leftover bolts. The length of the bolt you use is determined by what kind of crossbar you are using. The 35mm bolts are intended for the Thule AeroBlade and Thule Probars. The 37mm bolts are actually intended for the Thule Wingbar Evo (see image below).
Since you are using the Thule Wingbars I do recommend removing the 35mm bolts and instead using the 37mm. It may fit together fine as is, but it is always recommended to do things "by the book" to avoid any potential issues down the road.
